Co‑organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the 11th Belt and Road Summit will be held on 9‑10 September 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. Under the theme “Advancing High‑quality Development – Embarking on a New Journey”, the Summit brings together global policymakers and business leaders to facilitate cross‑border dialogue and project matching, leveraging Hong Kong’s unique role as a “super‑connector” for high‑quality Belt and Road cooperation.

This year’s event puts spotlight on key markets including ASEAN, Central Asia and the Middle East. Topics cover trade and investment, green economy, technological innovation, low‑altitude economy and youth development, with nearly 100 distinguished speakers delivering insights. Three brand‑new thematic chapters — Go‑Global, Central Asia and Middle East — are launched, together with the “GoGlobal Connect” service provider zone. Supported by Hong Kong’s world‑class professional services in finance, law and accounting, the Summit supports mainland enterprises’ global expansion while helping international firms access Chinese and Asian markets.

A wide range of business activities will be staged, including global investment project matching sessions, panel discussions and one‑on‑one business meetings. More than 300 investment projects worth over USD 3.7 billion are expected to be showcased. The ASEAN Market Promotion Day will take place on 10 September to equip Hong Kong enterprises, especially SMEs, with market intelligence. The Belt and Road Global Forum Annual Roundtable will be held on 11 September to deepen multilateral exchanges among Hong Kong, mainland and international business organisations.

Ms. Cheung Sze‑wui, Deputy Executive Director of HKTDC, noted that amid global economic shifts, Hong Kong serves as a vital springboard for mainland enterprises going global and a gateway for international businesses entering the Chinese market. The Summit will harness Hong Kong’s professional service strengths to drive practical cross‑border collaboration.

Launched in 2016, the Summit is Hong Kong’s flagship international business event. It will continue to capitalise on Hong Kong’s advantages under “One Country, Two Systems” and contribute to regional and global economic growth.
